Many times we tend to devalue ourselves, thinking that it is our fault when our spouses have a marital affair. We tend to think that if only we were good enough, then they wouldn’t have found someone else. The truth is, it is not your fault, NEVER.
I understand. It was during this season that I clung to the steadfast love of Jesus Christ. It was a season when God would drop love letters for me everywhere, reminding that I am not defeated. That I’m no longer a slave to fear. If HE did it for me, HE can do it for you too.
Beloved, although it may still be painful, I pray that you will find comfort in the truth that in the midst of your pain and suffering God will meet you exactly where you are. You are not alone.
If we do not lose sight of this truth He will carry us through the healing process, and in time it will become easier.
May you find fresh hope in this truth:
In Christ there is healing. In Christ there is freedom. He is a restorer and in his time, He makes all things new.
