A JOURNEY FILLED WITH GRACE

July 14, 2020 THE MMA TEAM

My journey to faith started very early in my life. I am a pastor’s child, so I was always in church. I understood from a very young age what it meant to be a churchgoer but it wasn’t until my teenage years that I understood and experienced what it is like to be a woman of faith and a daughter in Christ.

At the age of 15, I realized that just going to church wasn’t enough, and trying to fulfil my responsibilities as a pastor child just wasn’t going to cut it. I was desperate to find myself and so I searched high and low for who I thought that person would be, however, I looked everywhere but in Christ.

How merciful is God? He will wait for us to come to Him, gently nudging but never forceful. After failed relationships, depression and anger I finally decided to surrender and accept Christ as my Lord and Saviour.

I soon found out for myself that this Christian walk is a journey, and along the way, I found him; I found myself in Him. I continued to discover God for myself, I experienced His Love and I began to search for Him and as time went on the desire to know Him was insatiable, the more of Him I knew, the more I wanted to know. He was no longer this grander than life being that lives high above the heavens (Is 40:22), He became and is for me, my friend, comforter, healer, provider & Father. In truth, I experienced the fullness of His Glory, Love and Light. The best part? He lives in me.

Today I would like to encourage you that it is never too late to devote your all to Christ, Our relationship with Christ it’s a journey. There will be highs and lows but the beauty in all this that He promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Hold on to Him no matter how rocky the ride may be, trust that He has factored all your fears, worries and mistakes into your plan.

Trust Him.

Heavenly Father, I want to say thank You that even with the mistakes of our past & present You still love us the same, No matter how far we run, or how many mistakes we make, You hold us dear to Your heart & You always welcome us back as sons and daughters

Lord may You give us the grace to remember that this is a journey, and the race doesn’t end until we meet again. In Jesus’ name. Amen "
